Going Underground

Day three in Vietnam, and we took another trip outside Ho Chi Mihn City to see the Holy See of Cao Dai and tour the underground network of Cu Chi tunnels from the Viet Cong's resistance during the war. The church was underwhelming, and the tunnels were underground...and way to tight for my claustrophobia.  Nikki had no problem fitting. I was too scared to try. We were -- possibly not surprisingly -- the only Americans on the tour that day. Our guide was careful to highlight that it was not only American forces the Vietnamese were fighting against during the war, so it was only awkward when the term "American-Killer Hero" came up. It was awkward a lot.
